The following information will help you understand how we progress your order.
If you are using the designer service for your order, you will need to send us your files...
You will get an email asking you to send your files with instructions on how to send your files or you can send them here using the link provided below in the next article.
What Can I Send?
- The photos for each month and cover pages. - Label these with the month name if not providing a 'guide' to where they are to be placed.
- A list of captions for each image/month, if not inlcuded in the image filename.
- Any logos, company infomration, you want to included in your design.
- A list of event dates (Special Dates) you want added to your design.
- You can also send us a 'Design Brief' and our designers will refer to that.
What Is The process?
- When your design has been created, we will proof it online in your account. You can review and let us know any changes.
- Once these changes have been made, we will progress to your printed proof (If selected).
- After your printed proof has been received, we can make a further set of ammendments and then re-proof online.
- Note: Any changes after this are charged for - We advise all your changes made in these two checks.
- Please regularly check your emails to ensure you do not miss your order/design updates.
You can send us your files directly using the we-transfer service using the following button.
Send us your print ready files/images and we will upload them to you order for you - you can also use this feature if you are using the design service to send us your files.
There is also a menu link at the top of our website for instructions on how to use the transfer service.
If you need to make any changes to your order, your design, delivery address or anything else, then get in touch with us first...
You do not need to be placing a new order if you make changes - just get in touch and let us know. We will swap your design to your order if you make chasnges online, then re-proof to your account panel
You can get in touch with us through your account panel, or by using the Chat/Help button in the bottom left of every page on our website.
If you selected this option, you have asked us to proceed to print your order without any proofing required...
Therefore, we will process your order and put it through to the print production queues for its earliest print opportunity - If this is not what you meant to add to your order, then please get in touch with us as soon as possible
If you do have any concerns please message us 24/7 via our website messenger or using your account panel.
If you are 100% confident then of course, the order will continue through it's production processes and get printed, finished and sent out to you. Usually in the case of a re-order you may have selected this option.
The online-proof option is a visual proofing method, through your account panel and if selected will be provided before any printing is undertaken...
Once your order has been received and processed, we will assign this online proof - check your email as you will have been notified of this. You can then head over to your account panel and approve your visual proof online, and your order will proceed.
If you need to make changes, DO NOT APPROVE this proof, please make your changes in the portfolio area to your design, then let us know - we will swap the design over and re-proof. Note: There is no need to be placing a new order if you make changes - just let us know!
IF you have used the designer service, you will get an online proof too, even if you opted for a printed proof, you will still get the online one to make sure that your design is correct before we print your proof.
Our visual proofing tool will allow you to add a comment or highlight and select areas of concern or that you want to discuss, you will be notified via email when we have responded.
Recommended Checklist:
- Check any binding or punching will not interrupt your design
- Check any dates you have added
- Check your images are situated/placed correctly
- Check ALL spellings (You are responsible for these not us)
Please be aware this is your last chance to make changes...
Once you click approve, our automated systems will take over and your order will proceed to print. Colour Calendars are not responsible for any changes that are apparent in the account panel proofing that we have not been notified about.
If you have any hesitation please do not approve your proof, and get in touch with us.
Please be aware Colour Calendars cannot be held responsible for mistakes, however, we will do our best to rectify any issues, We would appreciate your patience in any case and assure you we will do our best to capture any print issues in the unlikely event they arise.
These are available as 'Unbound' which are the sheets only, or as a 'Fully Bound Proof' which is your masterpeice fully bound and made, like the final item...
Sit back, relax and wait for the post! We have your design, address and that’s all we need, let us know what you think of the proof via your Colour Calendars account.
Once you have your printed proof, Simply message us whenever you’re ready! or approve your design online - You should be able to do this in your account area.
Please be aware Colour Calendars will endeavor to chase you for your response but cannot be held responsible for a delay in progressing your order in the event we do not receive the confirmation of proof.
Due to the volume of customers/orders we deal with, we do not have the capacity to constantly chase! Quite often customers wait weeks to approve their proofs - Keep an eye on your emails, as we want to print your job as quickly as we can for you, but won't until you approve.
Recommended Checklist for your printed proof:
- Any marks or dust dusts on your printed proof
- Check Colours
- Check any binding or punching doesn't interrupt your design
- Check all spellings
- Check all special dates you have entered
- Check images are within crop marks and are correctly placed
Spotted a problem with your printed proof?
If you can see an issue, or need to make changes, thats fine too! In the event you want to make changes to your design simply log in to your portfolio and edit your design using our designer studio. Once this has been done, let us know and we will give you a further proof online in your account panel. If you want another prnted proof, you can order one.
